Leading from the previous blog/post a place not to be missed is the Visitor Centre for the Lincs. Trust, this being a metal walled building next to the Humber bank a few hundred yards west of the Humber Bridge. Don’t leave it too late as I think they close about 3pm. The photo above was taken looking out through one of the large windows overlooking part of the nature reserve, other windows show views over the Humber and the reserve. On my visit a couple of weeks ago the occasion was enhanced by the activity at a bird feeding station a few feet away from the window. Over the course of no more than 25 minutes seen clearly were reed buntings, greater spotted woodpeckers, sparrows, siskin and others.
The Visitor Centre is accessible direct from the Humber bank across a short metal bridge. A truly green area.
