Heavy, continuous rain, moving n. to s. am, gradually faired during afternoon and turned out fair and clear visibility for the initial event of Hull 2017 City of Culture – fireworks display 8-17 to 8-30 pm along with the first night of ‘Made in Hull’ illuminated stories on the face of buildings around ‘old town’.

Last Wednesday, winter solstice, went to Scarborough for the day, travelling by train from Hull Paragon station.
